“I firmly believe that food is medicine and that climate directly affects our health.. I agree with co-director, Josh Tickell: “We’re at the tip of a movement. Let’s find common ground for common good.” - Lipi Roy, Forbes
|
| “Common Ground is a deeply impactful documentary… there is a better way – a smarter way… the system currently in place only harms and never helps. And if we don’t make changes soon, we all lose.” - Stephanie Archer, Film Inquiry

Our heroes: Jonathan Lundgren, Rick and Carol Clark, Ray Archuleta, Gabe Brown, Kelly Ryerson, Josh and Rebecca Tickell, Laura Dern, producers Eric and Holly Dillon, Zen Honeycutt, Alejandro Carrillo |
OUR WORLD PREMIERE COMMON GROUND premiered at the prestigious Tribeca Film Festival, where the film won the Human/Nature Award! The film has captivated audiences, and we are humbled by the incredible response we received.
Our screenings at Tribeca were a resounding success, with sold-out shows, standing ovations and visits by Rosario Dawson, Jane Fonda, Laura Dern, Gabe Brown, Mark Hyman, and Rick Clark.
“Overall, “Common Ground” is a raw and unflinching documentary that needed to be told, and it needs to be seen by everyone. It digs deep, and it will definitely spark meaningful conversations with the audience afterward on how they can make a difference for the betterment of our planet for the children and our future generations. It will simply blow people away with its staggering statistics, as well as its honest and authentic storytelling.” - Marcos Papadatos, Digital Journal

TALES OF A NORTH DAKOTAN FARMER IN NYCSPOTLIGHT(S) ON GABE |
|
Gabe Brown and Josh and Rebecca's son, Jedi, at the COMMON GROUND premiere last week at the Tribeca Film Festival |
Gabe Brown is a renowned regenerative rancher from North Dakota. Together with his family, he owns and operates Brown's Ranch, a diversified 5,000-acre farm near Bismarck.
Gabe's journey began in 1991 when he embraced holistic management practices to regenerate his land afters enduring years of hardship that almost lost him his farm. Through integrating grazing and no-till cropping systems, he has drastically improved soil health, water retention, and ecosystem resilience and revenue.
|
REGENERATIVE FARMER SINCE 1991
PESTICIDE, FUNGICIDE AND HERBICIDE FREE SINCE 2010
25% HIGHER THAN THE AVERAGE YIELD IN HIS COUNTY |
Gabe is a trailblazer in the soil health movement and actively shares his knowledge as a speaker and educator. His transformative journey from conventional farming to regenerative agriculture showcases the potential for building soil health while making a profit.
He is a real-life superhero, and one of the many incredible farmers featured in COMMON GROUND. Gabe Brown continues to champion regenerative practices, and we are immensely grateful for his contributions to this discipline. We were honored to have him join us last week for the Tribeca Film Festival. |
|
Everyone tells me, ‘Well you can’t eat regenerative food because it costs more...’
No, I can produce regeneratively grown grains, fruits, vegetables, and pastured-proteins at a lower price than the conventional farmers.” - Gabe Brown

In his book, From Dirt to Soil, One Family’s Journey into Regenerative Agriculture, Gabe shares in depth his five principles of soil health: no-till or minimal tillage, keeping the ground covered, diversity in plant and animal species, keeping living roots in the soil as much as possible, and the importance of integrating animals. |
